Wrecked My Truck...

Got in a wreck about 2 weeks ago finally settled with the insurance and now I am in the market for a new truck, which by the way it is a horrible time to try and buy a truck because no dealers around here want to deal, they are offering supplier pricing which I would already get and $3500 rebates. Still with both of those they can't touch what I got my truck for less than a year ago. So now I'm in a waiting game....

 

As far as damage on the truck, repair estimate was $19,226, insurance ended up totaling it because it was $1500 away from 75% of the value of the truck. Insurance paid out $29,000 for the truck, which included taxes and other fees, so I am pretty thankful for that.

A 1988 2 door Chevy S10 blazer, driven by a persons with a suspended DL, No proof of insurance, No registration in vehicle, AND wasn't his vehicle.

 

I had only one minor scratch on my right elbow, the other driver got hauled off to the hospital in an ambulance, when I called to check on him the next morning he was fine and only had bruised ribs.

 

Thankful we both came out of the whole thing alrite.

Yeah thats one thing I was thankful for, if my g/f would have been sitting there it would have been pretty bad for her.

Wow, I'm surprised the windshield isn't shattered. That area seemed to hold up well considering it got hit pretty bad.

Wow man that sucks, but at least nobody was hurt. And just be thankful they hit you hard enough to total it. My last truck the dakota was parked in a huge parking lot at a Lacrosse game that my brother was playing in. I was parked miles away from anyone else and some chick (also with no DL, insurnace, etc) was attempting to do doughnuts with her BF's truck and consequently t-boned my parked truck! She didn't hit me hard enough to total it and it was never the same!

WOW Thats looks like it could have been really bad.

Def better off that they totalled it bc that truck would never be the same.
