Lift My Truck

Recommended Posts

I got a 2002 Chevy Silverado Z71 1500 4wd Extended Cab and Im looking to lift this thing up. I dont want anything too extreme. I looked into getting a 3" body lift with a 2" Leveling kit. Im not sure how it would look. I want the lift to be noticable but not huge. Also since i lift it im going to need to get wheels and tures. What sizes would you guys reccomend. Also what are some good brands to go with. Pictures would also be appreciated

I believe Rough Country makes a nice 4" suspension lift. With that lift I'd say you could fit some 33's pretty nicely.

My truck (see sig. or garage) has a 6" lift on 315/75/16 Cepek FCR II's.

That looks like a nice lift but im on a budget so I would like to keep it as cheap as possible due to being a student and not having much cash

How cheap are we talkin'? It can be done at the cost of a few hockey pucks and some U bolts...

I have been reading up on body lifts and leveling kits. Are they bad for your truck? from what people say it seems as they damage it. I am just looking for the most economical way to lift my truck. If i was to say go with the 4 in lift from rough country is it difficult to install or would i need to bring to a shop to put it in and what is the typical labor to do so?

As soon as you add in a Subframe it's about the same cost.. so just go 6inch lift..

Zone / Skyjacker are some.. Zone being a sister of BDS ( which i'm thinking about atm ).

Lift 1000-1200 , wheels tires with 33-35's 2k..

Bump..

I got a buddy who just got some new wheels and tires and will part with his old ones for a couple hundred bucks.

So for wheels im going with a 15" Mickey Thompson Classic I with 33" BFG Tires. Then going for a 4" suspension lift. Does anyone have pictures of this setup?

ALso im torn between sticking with the chrome wheels or getting them teflon coated
