My First Gmc (kinda)

Well, like the topic says, I am a "newbie" when it comes to GMC trucks. I have been driving older Silverados up until this last weekend. The time finally came to replace the '86 with something more "comfortable" and reliable, so the hunt was on for a newer bow-tie. After missing a few deals (waiting too long), I finally jumped on this last one. Only problem (not really) is that it was a GM, not a Chev. It'll take a bit of getting used to, cause I have typically liked the look of the Silverados better, but this new girl is growing on me FAAAAST!!!

About the truck...

2006, GMC Sierra, Nevada Edition, 5.3L, Z71, extended cab, short box. Approximately 78,000 km (49,000 miles).

About me...

Like I said - a long time Chevy truck guy - office guy by weekday, garage guy (grease-monkey) on weekends. Within the last 6 months we've replaced both of our aging vehicles, so I imagine the time spent maintaining will be less, so I'll hopefully have more time to "play".

I have been a member of a number of Chevy Forums and absolutely love the free exchange of information. It has saved me countless hours and $$$ and I hope I have been able to do the same for others. By the look of it, I've found another good group here.

So that's it for now... oh yeah, almost forgot to show her off (sorry for the crappy quality dealer photos)...
