Goodyear Dura Trac Vs Bf Goodrich All Terrain

Thinking of another set of tires and was wondering if anyone has any reviews of the Goodyear Dura trac tires. I typically run BF All Terrains but these Goodyears look interesting. Any idea on wear qualities out there yet?

I know the Goodyear Wranglers are junk. I loved my BFG All Terrains.

I put a set of 265/75/16 Duratracs on my old 02 silverado right when they came out (March of '09). I really liked them. A little noisy on the highway, really stiff since I wasn't used to an E rated tire. Unfortunately I didn't have them long enough to have any more information. But I really liked them and they looked really good. When I'm due for new tires on my '09 I'm going to give the BFG's a try since I've never had them and they get great reviews. Then I'll be able to compare the 2.

go with the BFG's. In my opinion, probably the best all around all terrain tire with decent mileage rating, as long as that terrain doesnt mean any sticky clay like mud. Disastrous!!

tire rack and discount tire have many reviews on both tires. The duratrac is a completly new tire and comparing them with the old wranglers that are indeed junk is not fair. The BFG's are great tires but these new duratrac should warrant a second look when I replace mine for sure.

I love the Wrangler AT/S's I've been running on the last few trucks I've had,However there "phasing" them out and replacing them with the Silent Armor's....I'd check out the Wrangler Silent Armor's,Excellent tire!

I agree with Rich and don't discount the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armour tires,I have a set.So far I've put 18,000 miles on mine and still looking good.Very little road noise,ride smooth,great traction and look great(IMO)

My new 20" GoodYear's are basically junk, I have one out of round already 5,500 km's and is soon going to be replaced.

The dealer/mechanic said I am certainly not the first person to have similar issues as they have replaced a lot of them!

When the time comes when they will no longer cover replacements or I run out of warranty I will be replacing them with Michelin LTX M&S's, they are by far the best, longest last tire I have ever used (C rated)

My last set on my 97 had 85,000 km's, were never rotated and they passed the safety with flying colors, most people I showed them to and the people my new truck owner Nephew has shown them to, can't believe they have 85,000 km's on them.

You may pay a little more for them but you certainly get your monies worth and more.

Due look into the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S or General Grabber AT 2's if your on a budget. I got the Geolanders but would of grabbed a set of General's if found locally. Geolander's run against BFG in Baja and other truck races. A/T-S's have a large tread lug and deep voids with good road manners, rarely need to engage front axle with the G80, nice and quiet.
