Abs Brakes

Desc. - RV model Trek on a GM chassis 'P' series Having problems with the ABS system and the source of the problem is the "sensor-counter" on the right front wheel. Came very close to a nasty accident because the brakes went off on both fronts. The ABS light was on and it was a very hot day with slow traffic on a grade. I have since removed the fuse but this disables my cruise control - not good.

 

I have decided to install an on/off switch on the system due to the scare I had. The wheel had been looked at several times at a Chev. Tr. Ser. but the problem was inconsistent - plan on replacing the front wheel assembly - still edgy though.

 

I need a schematic of the wiring bundle so as to insert a switch. Anybody have the info ... much appreciated ... frank. 10/5/09

.. when I had a wheel sensor act up, it was inconsistent and the mechanic had to drive the car around for awhile with the scanner hooked up to catch the intermittent codes to see which sensor was the problem..

.. a wire was frayed or corroded internally, and after the replacement everything worked fine up until I sold the car...

Thanks Rod ... we drove around with the analyzer also ... didn't see any bad wire though ....
