Loose Glass Inside Door

I was recently the victim of property theft and breaking/entering. Someone smashed the driver side window of my 2008 Sierra out. The glass is replaced, and the technician tried to get all the glass out, but there is still glass rattling around in my door.

 

Can I solve this myself or do I have to take it to the dealership?

I'd take it back and bitch it to the service manager. They were paid to do it the first time and didn't complete the job. If you had to ask how to do it, I'd suggest returning it. It's not extremely difficult, but having the book on how everything comes apart and extra plastic parts in case some are broken in the disassembly, makes it worth them doing it.

Had the Truck 4 months ,,

 

yeah , happend to me also ,, drivers window - for future reference - try to get OEM glass not replacement glass - the stickers and window decals dont match - learnt that after the fix ,,,

and yes the rattle of glass is a constant annoyance ,,, a shop vac can only go so deep into the door panel cavity - p*sses me off !!!!

 

well, they did catch the little f**k though ,, :-) - he got 2 years
