Annual Wash/wax Job

Recommended Posts

Well, put on the annual coat of NuFinish. I tell you, it's a labor of love, but it's still LABOR. By the time I finish washing, drying, then waxing I'm spent. I think the fact that I have a white truck makes it take even longer, you can hardly see the wax on there drying. Having said that, man, these white vehicles do such a good job of not showing light scratches. Also, when traveling in the south I really do believe it helps to keep them cooler.

I hear you man, I just did the last good detailing on both trucks before it stays crappy for the year. I clayed them and 2 coats of wax and cleaned the undercarriage real good.

Lord, two coats of wax. No way I could bring myself to do that. I'm sure the reward is there, but geez. (Unless you're using some kind of spray wax).

I love the white it does make a difference in the summer time. I know I need to wash and wax mine this week, gonna try and start tomorrow. When I put a coat of wax on I just tilt my head when Im wiping it off and that seems to help me see the coating alot better.

Did mine with the Mequiars NXT Generation™ Tech Wax 2.0™ a few weeks back and stuff does a superb job. After a wash I spray it down with the NXT Generation® Speed Detailer™ to retain that just waxed shine.

I was just looking on the Nu Finish website and saw that they have some sort of after-wash spray "wax booster" product. I might pick some of that up and give it a try. I also didn't know that they made carwash solution. I'll probably grab some of that also.

I normally use Tech Wax 2.0, but I figured that adding some turtle wax would make it last a little longer.
