The 6.2 has alot of balls but down low its def lacking I feel

Im looking to get alittle more low end grunt and just some more all around power, especially for towing.

Would a cold air intake be worth the money?

What else could be done? I kno a tune, but black bear doesnt seem to be in my area. NY

Are there other tunes/chips/programmers that would be worth the $$$$

Anything else, please feel free to learn me

You can also do a cable tune by mail with Black Bear.

I would consider the cable tune with Justin, before I would totally rule out getting a BB tune

With a cable tune you'll get pretty close to what you want. Many times it'll be be spot on. You may need to tweak it a bit after you drive with the new tune. With the live tune you'll get it exactly the way you want it right then and there. Many people have done cable tunes and are more than pleased. Re-tunes are free, so you can have it adjusted whenever you want.

This is correct for the most part. Remember for the Denali the only way the transmission can be tuned is with a live tune. I highly suggest getting a Black Bear tune and if at all possible do a live tune. A cable tune is the next best thing.

My tranny probably isn't much of a fan, but I love the wheel spin during the 1-2 shift after my BB tune.

I think you're right about not having much torque right off-idle. I could spin the tires off-idle in my heavy 4x4 KR F150 but it would fall on its face after 15-20mph. This truck seems to pull much harder as the RPMs climb. And having Justin raise the shift points so that they happen after peak HP improves it even more.

But that's just the all out performance benefits. He also changes things so it doesn't want to get to sixth gear as quickly and partial throttle acceleration is also improved b/c the transmission kicks down to a lower gear with less throttle input.

Anything over 3/4 throttle shifting does feel pretty aggressive. But I find I don't have to go that far anymore to get good acceleration.

You say your in NY.. Are you upstate? I used a guy in Amsterdam NY that uses EFI live and has dyno tunes also. He does lot of chevy trucks up this way..

What kind of dyno is he using? Justin was teaching up in Albany at a shop, forget the name though, I know his name was Howard .

We also have a shop that is selling our tunes in Long Island, NY....

don t know what dyno he uses. He is 1 1/2 hrs north of Albany. His name is Jim. I have no stake in his shop but if someone this far north is looking it can be tough to find. I don t want to advertize here as I know we have supporting vendors. But if someones local I ll point them to him as he s done good work for me twice.
