Lower Strut Mount Leveling Kit?

Has anyone tried this type of a kit. There are several made like this, and I have never used such a thing. I just want to level the truck for a year or so until I can get a real lift and different rolling stock and gears. I know it will change the control arm angles, narrow the track, and stress the ball joints and CV's. Any strut extension does, but it looks so easy to install. And I've got to be cheap right now.

ive installed quite a few of these, nothin wrong wtih them at all, most of the time you can just remove the sway bar end link, lower bolts for the strut, and the spindle/control arms will droop enough to slide the spacer in without taking anything else loose

That is what I was looking to hear. Thanks John. I've installed upper strut mount spacers on almost every truck that they are made for, sounds like most of the upper kits for these trucks require you to trim the studs, or swap the struts to opposite sides or both. I just want it to sit level damn it!!! I still may trim and re-weld the UCA droop stops though........

same ive installed more than i can count on every truck under the sun it seems, however ready lift offers a kit that doesnt require strut swapping or cutting the studs, they just give you an upper spacer and some new nuts to refasten the top of the strut, but for price and ease of installation i'd still go for the rough country lower spacer, and if you're really bored you can trace it and cut out a few out of metal to give to your friends

and from what i've read about the upper ball joints on our trucks i'd leave the upper stop just the way it is! dont want to over extend the ball joints and have them pre-maturely wear

The RC 2" level kit is one of the most common ones used by GMT900 owners. Do a search and you'll find quite a bit of information about it.

No matter if it is a top mount or bottom mount kit, it will still max out the ball joints. Look around in here and you'll see where a lot of folks are having premature ball joint issues with leveling kits. The consensus seems to be that anything UNDER 2 inches is safe.

I am useing the RC kit at 2" and have had it in for over a year and no problems as of yet with the ball joints.

Mine sits just at 2" low in the front. I DO NOT like the nose happy look, so if it is just a tad low in the front, I am good with that. By the time I get my toolbox and laod it with all my crap, it will be just right. I appreciate the info fellas.
