i have a 2007 silverado crew cab LT

5.3 v8.

 

hate to say, but everything out there is a piece of shit, the tranny always goes out.

so when my tranny BLOWS CABOOM i want a 6.0 dropped in mine is this possible?

Umm.... what? Mind trying that again in English?

 

A 6.0 will drop right in place of a 5.3L as long as you re-tune the ECM/TCM to match.... but just trading up to a VMax truck would be far easier and likely more cost effective.

Your "tranny" and a Vortec Max tranny are basically the same. The trans in the Vmax is a hopped up version of the same trans in yours. A Vmax engine in good shape will cost you $3500-$4500 and the mating trans probably another $1500-2000. It you have that kind of cash laying around, you could sell your truck and come up with the difference for a Vmax truck, maybe a 6.2 2009-2010 6 speed.
