Cloth Seats - Covers?

I have a 2009 Sierra Crew Cab SLE with cloth seats. I bought the rear OEM seat covers to protect the seats from my two kids. What I didn't think about was my kid's muddy/snowy boots on the back of the front seats. My questions are 1) do the OEM front seat covers protect the back of the seats - how far down the back do they go, and 2) are there other seat cover solutions that protect the back of the front seats?

How about some that repel pet hair? These freakin' stock seats are terrible!
