Welcome to GMTC man!!!

I personally like Grappler's, if for nothing else but just the look.

From talking to the tire shop guys....which have them on all the shop trucks and all they're personal trucks, They say they are between an 8-9 out of 10 all round.

Excellent wear, they have 0ver 60K miles on a couple sets, and they're only about 50% worn.

very good for highway noise...only a slight hum above 60mph

they look awesome,

Excellent for traction in wet dry snow and mud

Just a great all round AT tire.

I was just about to buy a set for myself, but I went with the Michelin LTX M/S at the last moment...as good as the nitto, but they are super quiet on the highway...just what I was looking for, I'll admit not as good looking, but damn QUIET.

I've never owned a set of Grapplers so I can't personally testify for them. But I've had my Silent Armors (load range C) on now for about 2000 miles and I have no complaints. I was impressed with the low amount of road noise, and my rain traction is awesome. Haven't done any off-roading yet.....that'll come next Monday.

Either way, I think you're choosing between two good tire options....

I vote Goodyears. I just bought them for my truck. They have excellent traction and are quiet. I know they even give me a smoother ride compared to my previous tires.

.. to kawtoy_77 ... hey I accept YOUR opinion on Goodyears... but I would use a Goodyear long before I'd use a Bridgestone/Firestone... matter of fact the farthest I'd drive on a Firestone tire is straight to the tire dealer to get them replaced .... and I might even get it towed, just to be really safe.

... my preference is clearly TOYO OPEN COUNTRY AT for my truck....

The Terra's appear to be true "All Terrain" tire - that is they have the tread to truly aid in off-road driving.

The Goodyear's strike me as more of a compromise - something closer to a M+S tire than an all terrain.

Any one else notice/agree/disagree with this assessment?

Also, to those of you who have and like your Goodyear's do you do any off roading (something more than the occasional maintained gravel road)?
