mrOAPx2 Posted November 26, 2009 Posted November 26, 2009 I helped a friend with some projects and he decided to pay me by giving me his DiabloSport U7194 (never used). I've been looking online for the manual but all I can find is one for U7191 and everything else. Is it the same steps? I just want to do it by the book so that I don't eff anything up. I am new to handheld programmers. If anybody can guide me towards the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

Just FYI, if you get any error messages when you try to use it, ie: "calibration ID not recognized" , you can go on the forums located at the Diablosport website and there is a lot of helpful people on there including the company technicians that can walk you thru. Depending on the manufacture date of the programmer, you may have to update the internal software for the best performance. Updates are free except for the usb to serial cable and power adapter you will probably need to connect to your PC. You will be very happy with the perfromance gains and flexibility offered by the Predator! Just turning off the AFM does wonders....!
Stevens03 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 You'll get more out of the Diablo forum than you will out of the book. There's really not much in it. If your trucks stock, and you want the most bang, then upload the 91 tune, and dial in your LTFT's.
mrOAPx2 Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 thanks guys. I hooked it up and saw that the manufacture date was 10/30 and that it was on ver. 9r10. My buddy said that he just got it about 2 weeks ago. I am excited to get this going. I might PM some of you diablo pro peeps for questions
Sir Dan Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 version 9r10 is the latest one available, so you should be good to go. Enjoy! ps. there are steps included in the installation guide to disable your Onstar if you have it. Not saying that you should or shouldn't do this, it's up to you, but I and many others have never had a problem with just leaving it alone. The risk is that if Onstar decides to send an update for your monthly vehicle diagnostic report during those few minutes of your tune upload, there could be problems but since they only do it once a month the odds are in my favor.
06MonteSS Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 yes, the 7191 manual is the same for the 7194... HOWEVER, the new revision 7194's are a little different now when it comes to exporting tune files and importing custom tune files, adjusting WOT timing, etc etc... but when you get to that point, you can hit me up with any questions you may have and I can walk ya through it... as for getting your fueling dialed in to get even better throttle response, acceleration, mileage, etc etc, here's info on doing a proper data log, what parameters you need to log, and how to make the injector slope adjustment in order to get your average LTFT's dialed in to the correct 0 to -2 range: http://diablosport.com/index.php?name=PNph...topic&t=917

I will definitely hit you up if I have any questions. First things first though, I need to see why my fuel is running rich. I wouldn't think that switching from 91 down to 89 makes such a difference...hmmm.

mrOAPx2 Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 did you figure it out?? The trouble code brought up bank1 and bank2. According to the GM Techs, I just need to go through the tank and then fill up with 91 octane again and then it should be good. I don't find this as the case as the light did go out yesterday and now it has come back on today. I just got done with a 450 mile trip where I went through the mix (89 & 91) tank and also a full tank of 91 octane. On a different note I installed the Diablo Performance Tune (is this 91 tune?), and I really noticed the changes as far as shifting goes. It is definitely a lot more peppy then before. After the 450 mile trip I went back to the stock tune for the time being as the speedo was not accurate (70 on speedo, 65 on Garmin). I tried to change tire parameters (by height; to 33) and it still wouldn't calculate correctly. The stock tune did give me the accurate readings (did dealership program for 33 tires already?). Any insight is greatly appreciated.
