I still have my lower valance but have read it supposedly has negative effects as far as air flow to the engine. The owners manual says you can remove for off road but to replace for city/highway. Any ideas?

I actually bought them from a guy over at gmfullsize.com. He had ordered them online and they were backordered so he went with a different brand and when these came in he had to sell them. I think I got them for $310 and he paid for shipping so I lucked out and got a band new pair for a pretty good deal.

Here you go. I did a google shopping search and these came up

Some of them offer free shipping and the steps are less than 390.

I don't know about how it effects air flow to the engine but I removed mine for looks. I know alot of people remove it after a lift because it makes you truck's stance look a little bit taller upfront. I also have seen quite a few people on here remove it without having their trucks lifted. I don't believe with it on it has a negative effect, don't think GM would add it if it did. And with all the advice I've received from here I don't believe removing it has a negative effect either. It does serve some sort of a purpose but I don't believe it serves a great enough one to worry about whether its removed or not.

Looks awesome man!

Thanks alot man. I've always loved the way your's looked and always wished I could find a dirt hill like the one in your sig.

I have cut my exhaust to give it the no exhaust look but still haven't added gap gaurds. I'm just too lazy and never find time to do it. It will get done though and once I get that I'll add more pics.

Buy your sheet metal yet? I'm telling you, they gap guards are easy to make. Don't go with the rubber ones, they look cheesy.

For the front,I really don;t think you need them, but if you really want them you could buy an extra set of factory wheel well liners, cut out a shape or around 4-5 inches above where it sits normally) then attach. Again the plastic will match (as will the molded shape of the plastic)and not look as homemade.

No I didn't buy my sheet metal yet. Me and my dad were gunna go one weekend but got busy with other stuff. I will get them done though. And yea it will be sheet metal and not rubber.

I was looking at my front and decided I would just leave them as is. But it will get done one day.

umberto's sheet metal ones do look really good, but he is also touched with OCD

I kind of noticed that by the attention to detail he gives to the tiniest of pieces. But it works because that is an amazing looking truck.

Thanks bud. Just make sure you get them powdercoated, or professionally painted. Rattle canning them doesn't hold up at all. Oh, and make sure you buy black luster screws, they won't rust on you, do NOT buy black oxide screws as they will rust right away.
