nice monsters...almost went with them, but I decided to go with the spy's....what are your next mods?

Thanks man. I really thought about getting the spy's but in the end the monsters were for me haha.

For mods today I took off the lower valance on the front bumper. What should have taken me 5 minutes took me about a half hour or so. Stripped screw so I had to use some muscle and break some plastic :M16: . As far as appearance goes I have a long list of things I'd like to do. Fog lights and bedliner will more than likely come soon. A new grill will be put on sometime after that (Not sure if I want denali, other aftermarket gm grill, or black mesh). Color matching door handles will be thrown on eventually. I think I'm going to cut the exhaust soon too to give it the no exhaust look. It's free and if I don't like it I'll get a new exhaust but I like the stock sound anyway.

Interior wise I want to change the dash panel to the one with chrome around gauges and titanium accent, add radio controls to steering, Pioneer touch screen navigation.

And in Feb I'm getting a Blackbear tune.

Wow now that I list everything out that's alot of stuff. Guess I need to start saving some money.

i know the feeling. Took me 8 months to save up and 1 week to blow it all  Saving time for me as well.

Came out great man, very nice. If you have any questions on fabbing gap guards let me know. The rubber ones will work too, but I prefer the bent, p'coated sheet metal ones, they look more factory IMO.

I deff wanna go this route. Just never really worked on anykind of fabrication or anything. I'm more of an office guy and not much of a shop guy. But from your write up you had it can def be done.

What did you do about the front? same thing?

Dark Knight, What is the backspacing on your rims? Im looking into new rim and tires for my truck, and I like how yours really dont stick out from fenders

howdie fellow albertan, i have those exact rims but 18x9 but mine are 8 bolt. the offest was -12. it basically brought the rim almost flush with the fender flare...it depends on what size you get. and you can get other offsets but the most common on XD's is -12. check it out. im runnin dick cepek FC 2's. they are really nice tires i love them, they are no where near as loud as i woulda thought, nice on the ice on the highway too not too shabby...the rims dont stick out too far

I have +18 offset and my wheels are 20x9. The offset is perfect for my liking.

Where did you get your body lift at?

I got my body lift from zoneoffroad.com but had my local shop install everything on my truck.

Your truck looks awesome man, Did you find with the bigger tires that you lost alot of power or it wasnt to bad, I am thinking of going the same route you have with the RC leveling kit (its on its way in the mail to my place so we speak) and now after checking out your truck the 3" body lift looks awesome, Im just worried about the loss in power, and I dont know how much I want to do for performance mods.

With bigger rims and tires I of course lost some MPG. I guess I went from 16-17 before to about 13 or so. Power wise I don't think I lost too much. I do notice when on the interstate or getting on and I have to punch it or accelerate quick it doesn't get there as quick as it did but I'm still suprised at the power it still has. I have no problem accelerating up to speed or passing someone. Like I said just a small decrease in power if any.

All will be fixed this Saturday when I get my Black Bear Tune :):M16::D:D MPG will go back up and I will unleash the true power.

Unless you plan on racing I def think you should go with the body lift and bigger tires. I'm sooo glad I did.

Did you have to trim at all to fit the 305/55/20's ? Im looking at the 18" XD Spy's after the Levelling kit and zone 3" body lift.. and Im wondering if I could go that big a tire without trimming

No trimming at all. Definitely couldn't have gone any bigger. Only have had it rub twice since I've had it and it was when I was backing out of the same really steep driveway at full lock.
