New Intermediate Steering Shaft

I finally bought the new shaft. If I would have known how much better the thing would handle with it, I would have done it months ago!. 92 bucks and two bolts is a small price to pay for a solid, comfortable steering wheel.

does it work like a steering stabilizer? and were did you buy it?

No its not like a steering stabilizer.

It's the shaft that goes between the steering wheel and the steering gear. There have been problems with the old style that give a noticable 'clunk' in the steering wheel. This is mostly when the wheels are turned right or left. GM came out with a new design that works much better. I've been puting it off for one reason or another but finally went ahead and changed it.

o i see. i had that problem in my truck when it had 15,000 miles on it, took it to dealership under warranty and i havent had a problem since, but if the problem comes back again ill be getting the upgraded intermediate steering shaft as well then
