... -17*C (.... 0*F) yesterday morning and forecast for colder every morning next week

... my engine had some pretty COLD intake air all day as I was driving ... I was smiling when I asked my self if that was the same as using a Cold Air Intake to improve the truck engine performance....LOL

Oh well... I guess I was bored with too much time on my hands when I thougth of that one!

Don't worry, i'm sure it will get colder. Supposed to be a high of -20C here for the next few days and it's usually colder in your part of the province. On the plus side, theres a pile of snow to go play in now, assuming that system made it's way up there. On the downside, there is going to be a pool of water from all the snow now under my truck in the shop in the morning.

They do seem to run better when its cold out and that cold air is shooting in there. I know my Raptor is like that. The one day we were sittin around for a while, and by the time we got back to riding it got colder out, and it was like someone slapped a turbo on it while I wasn't looking lol!

Cold air is denser and has more oxygen in it...So it's no secret that you get more performance in the cold.

And you people are f'n iron men or something. It's been hovering around 30-40 degrees F here and I'm damn miserable. I don't know how you guys stand it.

Only problem with the cold though is they switch over to Winter fuel mix...doesn't hinder performance much...but the added ethanol sure puts a damper on fuel economy.

Saw -35C last night on my way home from a producer meeting(F and C meet at -40, so thats gotta be close to -30F). Close to home I got into some light fog and after a couple minutes, my right front speaker started emmitting a high pitched squeal over 105km/h. Im assuming it has somethign to do with all the frost build up on the antenna, though it seems odd it would do it even with the radio off. If it gets back up to -24C like yesterday, I may even go and fire up the tractor and plow my yard out.

... yah ..... -33*C ... and -40*C with wind chill this morning

... construction on my foundation project is shut down again today as the subcontractor won't run the drilled auger pile machinery in weather below -25*C ... so it is office work for today again ... on a day-by-day basis

... but the truck starts and runs great in the morning, even with it parked outside on the driveway all night ... just an hour or so on the block heater, brush the snow off and away you go!
