How To Clean Throttle Body

I searched out cleaning the throttle body and all the threads that i read say to leave the throttle body on to clean it, but i thought i read some were maybe it was on here that i should remove the throttle body and clean it so i dont get all those black deposits running through my engine. what do you guys recommend?

Find a can of Amsoil Powerfoam, spray that on the outside first and while the motor is running spray it on the inside, and do this outside and in a well ventilated area. Don't let the motor die until the can is nearly gone, then shut if off and water 30 Min's and restart and rev it up. Once thats done you can scrub the outside of it with a paint brush type thing and clean it off with some carburetor cleaner, not the cheap walmart stuff either. then use your water hose with some Dawn soap and rinse the motor off and let dry.

Take the dang thing off to clean it. It has 4 nuts holding it on. If you can walk and chew gum, you should be able to remove and replace it without any problems.

Every so often I just wipe the inside with some cleaner on a rag to get the easy stuff. I don't have a schedule but after some time I take it off and do a bench clean up. Kinda like a few minors and then a major.
