Poor Air Flow From Heater

New cabin filters

Re boot computer to adjust dampers

Fan works on all speeds

Mode control works fine, discharges from defrost, vent and floor as needed

 

 

What else can be a cause of poor air flow? This truck has much less volume of air coming out than my 99 or 2000.

where you live any ice built up around the cowl by the windshield wipers? that will stop or slow air flow. leaves in there? thats all I can think of if the fan is working on all speeds.

pull OUT the in-cab filters and see how big of an improvement there is without those things. I found that by removing my in-cab filter it helped things out BIG time. The thing is just too restrictive, even when new. Even more when dirty. If the original in-cab filters were in there a long time the blower motor may be worn out from having to work so hard.

Still beating this dead horse. What else would cause low air volume from the system??? Heater core fins are clear, fan runs on all speeds,filters have been replaced,......... I have to run this truck 1 or 2 speeds higher on the fan to get the same output as my previous trucks. ????????
