Cabin Lights On Exit ?

Forgive me if I've missed something simple. Seems the exit lighting is actually external lamps. What controls the ability to have cabin/dome lights come on when you're getting out of the vehicle ?

If you push the "dome light override" or whatever that little button is, it won't allow the dome light to come on when you turn off the key or open the door. Push it again and it will.

It's in your owner's manual somewhere.

Dome Lamp Override

 

 

The dome lamp override button is located next to the

 

 

 

exterior lamps control.

 

 

k(Dome Off): Press the button in and the dome

 

 

 

lamps remain off when a door is opened. Press

 

 

 

the button again to return it to the extended position so

 

 

that the dome lamps come on when a door is opened.

Yep, hit that button by accident a couple of weeks ago...did not know it was there and went around in a circle checking fuses, DIC etc...call to dealer service and they told me about it...said they get a good number of calls on that or they were letting me down easy...
