Hello, I am new on the forum and am writing from Colorado. I have a black 2007 2500HD Classic Duramax. I love the truck, who wouldn't right? I am having some with a pop clunking noise from under the truck when I turn or take off from a stop. I found a TSB for installing a body mount insulator on the body mounts. I was just wondering if there are others out there that have done this repair? I ask because when I called my local Chevy dealer the parts guy gives me this story that they have never sold these insulators and that he and a few other guys there own the same trucks and have never heard of this repair. So, to make a long story short I think they are off there rocker at the Dealer. I have read alot of stuff out there about this and GM even recognizes it as a repair. Can someone out there give me the low down if this has acually fixed their truck or am I crazy and wasting my time pursuing this repair? Thank from a newbee to the forum..

Thanks for the reply. Alot of good information. Have you done this repair to your truck? Reading the replies no one has done the repair yet. I am not taking my truck into the dealer because they can't fix anything. I get tired of making two or three trips for the same issue. I am ex gm tech that does not work as a tech full time because of a back injury but am willing to find alternatives to the dealer.

I have done this repair, however my truck was making more of a creaking sound... not so much a pop/clunk.

With that said, the teflon pads are only $2 each. Im not sure how bad your back injury is... but being an ex tech you should have no problem (mechanical ability wise) installing it.
