I had been a GM fan forever. My first GM was in 1982. My last GM was my 1996 Silverado. I had enough issues with that to steer me to Dodge in 2003. I am getting ready to get a new truck and I am looking at GM again. I love the Dodge's motor and it would be my first pick of the trucks but the suspension sucks bad. The Death Wobble, which I have experienced, is turning me back to GM or dare I say it, Ford.

I am looking for a ECSB 4x4 with the best power to mileage. I rarely tow anything but I do run 4000-9000' altitude regularly. I am looking at the diesels but its hard to justify a $7k option plus the HD upgrade for slightly better mileage. I will have the truck off road a tad while hunting or taking my Raptor to the desert playground. I am not a rock crawler or mud pit kind of guy, just some desert running, washed out 2-tracks, and some snow.

You'll really like the new trucks. Personal choice would be 6.0 or 6.2 wht the nht max towing package just because you get the 9.5" rear end. I currently have the 6.0 and I'm very happy with it.
