Someone is gonna love this one...

So the other day, the truck was cold, started it up, drove <5min to the coffeeshop on break, fiddled around for about 45 min, and jumped back in the truck to go back to work.

Started the truck, Traction Control unavailable light illuminated, DIC reads Stability Disabled, and Reduced engine power mode. No CEL at the time. Hooked up OBD2 reader and No pending codes, no active DTC's. Went into monitor mode, and all looked normal, nothing off with the readings i saw. turned truck off and restarted engine. Same situation.

Turned truck back off, turned ignition on with out starting the motor, and got the same information. Now i know (i think ) that it's external to a transmission and /or engine issue... (I hope) ...

Go into work, and come back out about an hour later so i'm ready to go and Troubleshoot this thing til the end, and i figure i'll start the truck up and lo and behold... starts up and runs normally. No codes pending or active on the ECU, and problem has not come back for 4 days now... any suggestions?

Cold weather glitch would be my guess. Some sensor got too cold...or got frost on it...or condensation...I wouldn't worry about it until you actually set a light. Nothing you can do about it till than anyway. No one would know where to even start to look.

great... first install when it gets warm enough is some new grounding wires!

Not sure if this will help but i seem to get a lot of really flaky stuff like this happening only when it started getting cold... cleaned out the TB earlier the other day and it helped the truck to idle waaay better, lots of buildup on the bore. Doubt that's my problem though

That may be a good call if you live in a cold place...where they use lots of salt.
