Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jason and I have been in the Army for quite sometime now and have now found myself to be stationed in El Paso, Tx. Normally I am a small sports car buyer and will continue to be but I recently have found myself purchasing a home and I guess every homeowner has to have a truck right, especially in Texas?

So I purchased a used 2002 2500HD 4x4 6.0L Gas. I have only had the truck for a couple of days and already it has come in handy on several occasions. Of course having a truck I knew MPG would be terrible I'm only AVG about 12 MPG with city and HWY driving. It has a K&N Intake and Flowmaster Exhaust, leveling kit, and some all terrain tires. But I figured I would be getting better MPG, I took a 10 hour trip all HWY AVG 75 MPH and couldn't get more then 13.5 MPG. Would a tonnuea cover and predator tune help?

There is a lot of wind noise coming from the driver side area. It really kicks in at about 65-70 MPH at first I thought the window wasn't up all the way or some of the seals were bad. But everything looks nice and tight. There is hardly any wind noise on the passenger side. Any ideas other then that I can't wait to go 4 wheeling.

Well being an 02, I'd think maybe new rubbers due around the doors and windows where applicable. Also, GM had some wind noise coming from the seal going up the left/right side of the window as well. A bead of caulk under it cures that issue. As far as mileage goes, thats about what the 2500's get. A custom tune would help some but don't expect alot.

Also, I'd consider Royal purple Max ATF transmission fluid. On my previous truck, I picked up a solid 1-2mpg better with that alone, plus the added security of cooler tranny temps. A win win in my book.

Welcome to the site and congrats on the truck.
