Transfer Case Seal

Hi all,

Having a hell of a time replacing what I assumed was a bad T-case output seal (rear)... Was getting auto trans. fluid all over the underside of my truck. Truck is a stick shift, so I knew it was the trans. case. Assumed it was the output seal because it seemed like the oil was wetting the driveshaft and slinging the fluid all over the undercarriage. Anyways, I got a new seal, pulled the driveshaft, pulled off the old seal and put on the new one... drained/refilled the t-case and took it for a test drive... went ~100 yards and checked it and the seal had pulled off the case and fluid was leaking out... thought maybe I just didn't get it on all the way so I pulled everything apart and did it again... sure enough, after going a short distance, the seal pulled itself off again...

I'm clueless because the old seal was not coming off, just seemed to be leaking...

Dead in the water here and I need the truck to move my stuff out of my apt by the 31st, so any help would be greatly appreciated... its to the point that I don't even think I could get it to the mechanic without a tow truck and I really don't want to do that...

Thanks again
