2009 Gmc Sierra 2500hd Crew Painted Door Handles

Hello Guys,

 

First post here since taking delivery of my 09 SLE 2500HD. I'm glad to see that there are so many interested people out here taking care of each-other.

 

As a brief introduction, I'm a US Army 4 time (now retired) combat veteran. I work in the Forensic field and train police officers, SWAT and military on the side in weapons and tactics.

 

I attempted the search function and was overwhelmed with the results for the info I was seeking. I was kind of hoping someone would have "sticky'd" this info, but no luck finding it.

 

I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab in Onyx Black (41U) and I want to install factory painted door and tailgate handle. The tailgate has has the locking cylinder.

 

I tried the dealership and they said they do not make painted handles for the truck, which I instantly called BS on this as I know I have seen plenty of 1500 and Yukons out there with body-colored handles.

 

Would any happen to know the part numbers for all 4 door and tailgate for painted handles in Onyx Black (41U)? I prefer pre-painted factory handles as opposed to having the textured ones sanded and painted.

 

I've even been slumming around the dealership looking for a truck with black painted handles so I could take the VIN into the Parts Dept and say order all new handles from this VIN...

try looking on ebay. They have a couple sets on there for like $150 range.

Thank you for the reply. I did take a look out there before posting and didn't locate much. Doesn't bother me to purchase them from the stealership new, at least they'd be warrantied and guaranteed to fit.

I got my white handles and tailgate handle from ebay. The handles were take offs from a Tahoe and the tailgate handle was painted. The parts that the dealership get I am pretty sure are unpainted and then are paint to match. I think I got all my handles for around 200 and it took me about 2 hours to do the install by myself in pretty cold weather. Good luck finding a set.

If you get new door handles from a dealership they will be unpainted,They do not come already painted.

Can't wait to get them and get them installed when it gets a little warmer. I have the textured handles and I just bought my 2500HD and so joker in the detailing shop got wax all over them.

 

I've always hated textured handles and trim!
