My blower motor run when it wants to I can turn the switch on and it will work and the shortly after it will just quit or slow down. but if you hit the motor cover it comes back on at varies speeds.

what can be wrong with it.

What George said....

 

The motor brushes could be on they're way out...not sure if they're replaceable, but a new blower motor is not really expensive.
