Okay I'm fairly new at all this Sound System stuff, but I am looking for 2 10's or 2 12's. I was thinking about gettin the Kicker Solo 7's, but theres no way in heck I can afford that, so I was wondering what would be some really good brands of Subs, no more than $250 a pair, Thought bout getting the lower price Kickers but I really don't know yet, I want something that sounds pretty dang good & hits pretty good too. & an amp I really don't know about that one.

So any info. would be greatly appreciated. user_offline.gifquote.gif

you can pick up Polk MM10's on ebay right now for $190 shipped. They're great subs and they're fairly shallow as well. I love Polk stuff, it's amazingly well priced for what you get.

It's been years since I wan in to car stereos. When I was anything with the Polk name on it always served me well. Kind of looking at getting back in to this hobby and have no doubt their products will be on my short list.

depends on if you want thundering bass, those would mainly be like kicker's, mtx's, sony xplodes', rockford fosgates; or tight bass would be like clarion, polks, jbl, infinity, jl audio etc...

I run a 12" clarion bandpass in my civic. One of my nephews run's xplodes in his chevy and another newphews runs kickers and mtx's in his suv. They are into rap and stuff.

Me, I'm into heavy metal and southern rock, so i dont need thundering bass; I like the tight bass for my heavy metal songs...

I had a pair of JL's in my Acura TSX and I loved them. I figured I'd try Kickers in my Crew Cab so when I first installed them the bass was not tight. I added a SHIT load of poly fill and they sound just like my JL's did in my Acura Very Tight. I love them.

Alright thanks man. I like rap and/or hip-hop but I do like a lot of rock too.

So what do you think I should get?

Right now I am looking at the Kicker CVR's & strongly thinking about getting those, they seem pretty good...so 2 10's or 2 12's still haven't decided that part out yet. But I'm really lost on the Amp part, I really don't know where to go on that one : ( Which would you prefer?

I have always been partial to Kenwood and Alpine amps. From what is sounds like, a nice Kenwood mono amp would be perfect for you...

Here in some info and reviews for the MTX's considered to be the best overall bang for the buck...

Okay I will try to look some of those up & see.

So those MTX's are better than those CVR's?

My nephew runs MTX's and they sound just as good as a kicker solobaric, but cheaper...
