I use to watch that show all the time with my dad. I wonder how many trucks they went through making the show. It was a bad a$$ truck too. :):dunno:

Ya you got to love that body style truck, that was the first truck I owned and I have been thinking of building another one soon. 79 scottsdale 6inch lift 36 tires 396 big block and ac and power windows, man a lot of good times.

Even as a kid I wondered why they used a different model truck for the stunts.

Cause the stunt scenes were short and they tore a bunch of those trucks to hell.

They used the same models for all the other scenes where it would have been too noticeable to use a different one.

Especially since they were gonna crash it anyways :dunno:

I was really young, but I'm told it was one of my favorite shows. I remember watching reruns too. I wonder how "aware" I was of Heather Thomas back then. :dunno:

Thanks now you made me miss my truck but I was running 42" tires and 10" suspension lift.

I use to watch that show all the time and sometimes you could see they used a 4x2 GMC and some jump shots you could see it didnt have a motor in the front, they used a custom built mid engine truck.

Oh yeah, if you watch it now, you can find all kinds of little flaws

But it was the shit back in the day

Is it bad that I knew exactly what show it was before I ever clicked the link? And the last time I saw it, or even thought about it, was in the 80's. :dunno::)

My dad's got a K5 Blazer that we've done a full resto on. About the same year model as the Fall Guy truck. I'll have to post up some pictures. We put the same motor(502 ci) in it that we put in my 72. Well.....same block. Mine has just a little more into it. :dunno:

Actually, only the stunt trucks were 79. The drive around truck was the newer body style. I had the same 79 Scottsdale. Same paint scheme and all. It is still out back in the weeds. It's like part of the family.....
