2003 GMC Sierra HVAC Problem. I have the usual problem of hot air blowing on driver side when a/c is on. Passenger side temp control works fine. Took out the actuator for the driver side. Took apart and inspected, everything looked ok. Hooked 9 volt battery to actuator and it turns. Reverse leads and it turns back. Bought another actuator anway and same thing. It will turn slightly and back when you turn the key on but will not when you slide the control.

I noticed the light behind the driver side temp control was not on while all others were. Thought it might be the control. Bought a control and hooked it up. No change, even the driver side temp light not on while all others are. I checked continuity between the five wires from the control to the actuator and all are good. All other actuators work fine. I am totally stumped on this. I have changed the control and actuator and still have the problem. I have tried all the reset procedures without any luck.

Anbody have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Anybody?

I have tried a different actuator and control unit only to have the same problem.

Any luck? I have the same problem now. After about 1 minute the little motor in the actuator will not go in reverse. Its just stops.
