Thinking Of A 1.5" Bl

I'm tossing the idea around and considering adding it to the pot of other stuff I wanna do to the truck this summer... Question though... Would I need gap guards with only the 1.5" body lift? If so would the GM wheel wells cover it up or would I have to fabricate something up?

gm wheel well liners should do it

Yeah I'm not looking to get the huge truck look. A 1.5" makes it look real good... Thats what I'm going for is just to give it a bit of lift and make that appearance that much better

I have the 1.5" BL and the gm rear covers will cover that gap. I have didn't have any gap guards on my truck for awhile and no one can tell I have a body lift at all. I am installing the GM rear covers this weekend if weather permits.

No they will not. I have to custom cut them to clear my airbag brackets.

If I ever get a body lift I will probably get the 1.5" from zone because it does not extend the steering wheel, I dont know why but feel unconfortable with the idea of a steering wheel extender wich comes with all 3" body lifts

For those of you with a 1.5" body lift how hard was it to install? zone says 3 to 5 hours for the 1.5" body lift and 8 hours for the 3" body lift.

1.5" took me 3 hours by myself and hand tools. The 3" took me about 3 hours too, by myself. EASY!

what tools do you need?? Anything special? I am probably just going to add the 1.5" and put it on by myself. (i feel like maybe the 3" with the fabtech would make 35s look too small?!) I havent looked at any kind of instructions, I am assuming the zone kits come with install instuctions.

Just thinking aloud really for any kind of tips I should know about b4 putting it on.

The frame exposure isn't bad at all. It really just looks like an HD with a 3" BL. As far as the exhaust tip, can't you just shorten the hangers?

That might work. I'll look into it. I still have a couple months till the weather breaks so I got some time to mull it over yet.
