Fuel Pump Troubles

What connector, and what colouring should I put direct voltage too. I want to test the pump with a 12v booster kit. I have the truck bed off, and just want to do this one last test before I buy the fuel pump. Thanks!

2003 GMC sonoma ZR2 4x4 4.3 litre, ext cab.

Should be red or purple with a black connector on it. It should be located in the wiring harness that goes into the fire wall on the drivers side....almost directly above the center of the wheel.

 

Its called the fuel pump prime connection.
