Us/canada Drl Question

I imported a 08 Yukon denali from US to Canada and I need to disable the ability to turn off the DRL that was standard on US trucks in order to get Canadian certification. Is it a programing issue or does the headlight switch or DRL module need to be modified/replaced?

Perhaps the rules have changed, or the dealership I purchased my truck made a mistake.

My '07 is a US vechicle, and had to have DRL installed when it was imported.

However, after starting the truck, I can manually turn off the lights (DRL) with the light switch.

Odd......

Thats the way my 08 is now but the RIV inspector said that feature(being able to manually turn off the drl's) has to be disabled before it will pass. Sounds like you got lucky.

Yeah, certainly sounds like it.

But then again, the dealership didn't even have my truck registered properly (I had to get the truck registered properly myself).
