Me and a friend took our boys camping again this weekend.  Me and my wife have been taking our son camping since he was about 1 year old.  He loves it.  I enjoy it alot because it makes me remember all the fun times camping when I was a kid.  Nothing better when your a kid, or adult.  Here's a few pics if ya want to see.  Camping pics

Tom, You guys ever go up to Nanahala?  Went there about 3 years ago now, and It was great.  Got really dizzy though going through all the switchbacks on route 129,  But man was it worth it!!!  Big Fat Gap is a great trail!

Thanks.

We were not really out in the woods.  It's an area that belongs to the base I'm stationed at that has some cabins, boat docks, a couple pavilions, swimming area in the lake, and campsites.  It's about 30 miles from the base, at Lake Wateree.  Too many gators around here to go out in the middle of no where, at least near water. :D

Looks like a fun trip.  Loved camping with my Dad as a kid.  Also looks like you've stretched J.T. on a rack!!  No more Dexter look-a-like, he's getting tall!  :0

LOL!  Yeah, he's getting tall!  He's almost up to my shoulders and he's a good bit taller than most of his friends his age.  His mama's side of the family is full of tall people.:D

Yep.  I've seen several in 13 1/2 years I've lived here.  None were real big, the biggest maybe 6 feet long, but that 6 feet more than I'd want to wrestle with.:D

There is a place south of Myrtle Beach, called Huntington Beach State Park, and there is a small lake that is loaded with them.  The last time we were there, I counted about 10 or 12 swimming around or laying on the bank.:0

Thanks for sharing those pictures Tom. I thinks its great that yall do the father/son getaways. My son is 1-1/2, I can't hardly wait until he gets a little older so we can go camping. I am glad that in these trying times that you get to spend some quality time with your family.
