Lift Confusion

A leveling kit retains the stock coil-over strut. It uses a spacer on the top or bottom of it. The Bilsteins are adjustable, replacement struts. A little more involved to install, but provide a better/firmer ride.

Oh, and J-man67 forgot to mention one tidbit of information. The cost.

You can get a Rough Country or CCM leveling kit for under $100, but expect to pay about twice that amount for the two Bilsteins.

Not a whole lot of money difference in the whole scheme of things. Just depends on which road you decide to take.

I have the leveling kit, so I cannot speak of the pros/cons of the Bilstein struts. I am happy with mine.... :D
