Never tried it. I just put a kid in the Army who is an avid player, though. He started with paintball then moved to airsoft for the added realism. We had a decent discussion about it on the way back from MEPS. I used to be a WWII reenactor, though. Still have the impression but my unit is in the mid-Atlantic area. There's nothing like using real weapons (with blanks, of course) and wearing authentic uniforms and equipment (mostly reproduction as originals are getting rare and expensive).

ah your one of those recruiters lol, yea i play just for fun..i'm not into the whole realism, i get erked when people buy military rip off uniforms and throw real units patches on it to try to be cool, i find it almost offensive because real soldiers earn that patch risking their lives...it is fun, just one of my past times when hunting seasons on the low

Cool, I've always wanted to try airsoft, but haven't taken any steps towards doing so, unless you count my Wal-Mart special Mossberg gun. :uhoh: As for the recruiting thing, the Army made me. :( But, seriously, I had just made my mind to go Drill Sergeant when I got orders for recruiting school. Less than two years and it's back to the Infantry, where it's Simunitions (9mm and 5.56mm paint rounds for our weapons) stateside and real bullets in Afghanistan (Iraq may be a done deal by then). I hate dealing with civilians as part of my job (no offense to those of you here) and immensely miss the crazy bastards I worked with daily on the line.

its nice, i'm getting into law enforcement so i use it almost as a self training tool(muscle memory)...the scary part is the high end guns can break skin and go through particle board, and half those kids haven't had any type of fire arms training at all, so muzzles are getting pointed at people with no eye protection..i won't hold the recruiter thing against you man, everybody gets the lame job sooner or later, i got a buddy in the army so i have alot of respect for you guys(armed forces)
