Help! Hid Install In Fogs...

So ive been waiting for somewhat a decent day weather wise and time off from work to install my DDM HID kit in my fogs...

So since i was off today and the weather was somewhat nice i got to it... of course half way thru it starts snowing like a SOB and winds blowing... but anyways..

I mounted up the ballast out of way , secured all wires well , did not touch bulbs with fingers.... Cleaned up all my tools , cranked up the engine and turned on the fog button, NO WORKIE! So i thought maybe because its so cold out it takes a min for ballast to kick on.... well after 10min it still didnt work

The only thing i altered or changed that it didnt say in directions was i put some dielectric grease on the terminal between factory harnesss fog wire and the kit wire... From what i heard in past this grease made a better seal / connection....??? Could this be interferring with the power / stopping it from conecting? or is it something else ?

The button in truck lights up as usual for turning them on.. I was too damn cold to start with the multimeter and or checking fuses... so hopefully someone else has experienced this or has a tip??

I went with the DDM kit because of a lot of recommendations ...

BTW- the kit i bought was the 55w 6000k

edit- looking thru the instructions some more, (instructions are on a small piece of paper and has like 4 sets of diff style lights / installs... )

They are talking about attaching black wire / and grounding it ..... there was no other wires coming out of this kit , nor is there anyplace to mount one.... The ballast did have a hole in the one "wing" sticking out that looked like it was there for a screw to mount it , but it came with no screws jsut the double side tape.... could a screw possibly go in there into frame and ground it???

Well I went to radio shack and told the guy my situation and he agreed that the dielectric grease was not allowing contact.. so i got some elctronics cleaner in a pressurizzed can that i will spray it all out and use a tooth brush to get in there.... Then i will heat gun it and dry it all out... if that dosent work , i dont know wtf to do..

The dielectric grease will keep the terminals from corroding, it should be pushed out of the way by the act of pushing the terminals together, if it's not, then I have a feeling you're not going to get much contact at all.

Got em working ... Problem turned out to be thed plug had reverse polarity... So i had to turn em upside down even tho the notch part with nub would not line up and it pushed in kinda tuff but it works great! Thanx for the help tho
