Will An 04 Silverado Remote

Hey guys.

 

My roomate recently lost his key fob and i was wondering if my old remotes from my 04 silverado would work on his 01 sierra. His truck has had the remote fob before so is it as simple as just cycling the keys ect. programming or will the remote not work? Thanks for any help.

Shouldnt have a problem the fobs are pretty much the same if not identical if im not mistaken
