aznali Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Hello, I have an 05 Denali and recently I've noticed that the brake lights are having intermittent problems. When I mess with the brake by trying different ways of pushing it, like soft, slow, barely push, push hard, etc... I get different results. Random times does not even turn the brake lights on. Or they'll turn on after a delay. Or they'll turn on and then off without letting off the brake. My thoughts are that this is some kind of switch ... when I press the brake, I do hear a light clicking sound like there's a switch or something. Would anyone have any ideas on what to do? Replace switch? Troubleshoot it? How? I would greatly appreciate any input. Thank you, Chris
Gregorio Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 It is the switch. I had the same problem on my 2004 Yukon Denali. There was some kind of GM TSB on it. I'd see if the dealer will get it done for you under warranty or goodwill.
Matt09SLT Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 There's a switch on the brake pedal... costs about $12 and is easy to change out.
aznali Posted February 28, 2010 Author Posted February 28, 2010 Thank you for your replies. I've purchased the switch and will attempt to install it.
