Replacing Bose Door Apeakers

Has anyone replaced just their bose door speakers and kept everything else. Just wondered if you have, if sound quality was increased. I have a 2009 Sierra with bose system. I want to keep my stock head unit, sub, amp, and tweeters. Just wondering if replacing door speakers would make a difference.

You should be able to replace them with no problems.

My sub is in the center console too.

 

I've done a little research on this topic and I found out that installing Dynamat in your vehicle will help out a lot with sound quality while not being that expensive. I haven't installed any in my truck yet, but I plan on doing it soon. Just my $.02...

I am curious also as to the results of changing the speakers. In addition to my 07 Sierra with Bose, I have an 07 Corvette with Bose which has 5 speakers, no subwoofer. I replaced all 5 with Infinity speakers, and noticed a definite improvement....mostlly more clarity and crispness. It was not like I installed a complete $5K sound system, but definitly worth the relatively small cost and a Saturdays labor. Compared to the Bose speakers, the Infinities looked waaaaaaay better bullt.

I have been thinking about doing it for the truck, a cheap and worthwhile mod.
