04 Express 3500 W/tranny Problems

I have questions bout the vehicle in the title but I don't know where to ask them on this forum, any moderator please could move this to the right forum.

Van was shifting really hard on 2nd and would not downshift at 30-40 mph in the highway when I try to accelerate to blend with the traffic unless I really floor it or pump the gas pedal. I changed the tranny fluid with the right synthetic dextron VI and lucas and the thing got a little better but it still isn't right, what is going on?. Also the fluid that came out was black and very light, much lighter than the synttic I put in there.

Any ideas? Thank You.

Is this a chevy forum or what?

Try posting in ask the GM tech, there are a couple of tranny techs in there regularly. Check PCM and TCM codes before you post. Some codes will command max adapt pressure and will cause what you feel to be a trans problem. Welcome to the site.
