I am looking at getting a set of BFG AT 275/70/18 with a 2.25" readylift leveling kit on a 2007 NBS silverado 1500 crewcab Z71 5.3L. I did some searches on the forums and have not seen any clear answers to this. Does anyone know for sure with the 2.25" leveling kit if there is still rubbing? I really do not want to cut the fenders.

Also, has anyone had good luck with these tire sizes on the new Chev's? my other option is to go with the 285/65/18's. I like the look of the new chev's with the leveling kit installed and 33's, just hoping I will not be compromising with power loss with the larger tires (because I still need to take those imports off the line haha).

Everyones answers to these questions is really appreciated, I am putting the leveling kit on this weekend and tires shortly after.

I recently got those same tires 275/70/18 on my 2008 same as yours just 08. I have a skyjacker 2" level and I have no rub issues with the 275/70's.

I have a 2007 Silverado with a Truxxx 2.5" leveling kit with 275-70-18 goodyear duratracs on factory wheels and I did have a little rubbing at almost full lock entering a slightly raised driveway. Not anything major just took a heat gun and bent the plastic out of the way and now no problems. As to power loss. The only loss that I felt was when pulling a trailer up hills. nothing major just noticeable. Did lose 1.5 mpg though I am running 10 ply tires.

awesome news, I got the readylift installed, going to have a set of bfg 285/65/18 and 275/70/18 ordered and try the 275/70/18 first, from what you guys were saying I shouldnt have an issue with them. If anything when I start towing and notice much if any power loss I'll just change the gear ratio.

I haven't ever had the BFG ATs but the one thing I have heard from some people is they lost traction in wet grass with those tires. Now I don't know all the details like if they were towing something or anything like that, but I just thought I would chime in a little about them. But hey everything is different with different people. Good luck!

be a lot cheaper to just get a 2nd set of rims with smaller tires and swap them out when you will be towing than it will be to swap gears out...trust me.

Trying to decide between BFG A/T KO 275/70-18...33.2 x 11 or 285/65-18...32.7 x 11.5. I want the 33.2 height, but does the 11.0" tire look to narrow?
