pacodiablo Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 i was leaving home depot today and i entered a busy intersection, traffic was going really slow, and several people were honking their horns, when i finally moved far enough up to see what was happening i saw a 95-00 K3500 utility truck broken down right in the middle of the intersection!! it's a busy intersection too, so everyone got pissed that the broken chevy caused it to slow down more. i thought id share my little experiance
NewbieZ71 Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 OK guys, he started it. This thread is now open for all to recount any broken down vehicle stories we may have....I'll start...Coming back from Saratoga today my wife and I saw a new F150 broken down on the side of the highway in the light snow. Guy standing in front of truck with hood open. Girlfriend and/or wife standing next to him obviously irrate...shaking finger at him while yelling. Between him and the snow, the entire Northway (I-87) was slowed to a crawl. Eveybody could see his embarassment....Of course I honked as we went by.......I'm not sure but I could swear I heard the wife/girlfriend yelling something about "told you to buy GM you moron!!!!"..........
Kansas Kid Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 I'm not sure but I could swear I heard the wife/girlfriend yelling something about "told you to buy GM you moron!!!!".......... I can see it now. Next really bad snow storm that Newbie gets caught in, his wife is going to be saying almost exactly the same thing when his autotrac quits working and they get stuck out in the middle of nowhere. She will probably be heard muttering, "I told you to listen to KK and not buy a push-button transfer case you moron!" ;)
General Lee 01 Posted January 20, 2002 Author Posted January 20, 2002 I forsee almost the exact same thing for Newbie, except I forsee Kyle going blind after looking at the Pewter tone on Newbie's truck, and Newbie's wife yelling "Dammit Hal, I told you Pewter was reflective! Should've listened to Chevy4x4trucks and got a pink truck!".
hogger999 Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 One of those moments I would have given anything for a camera. Three years ago I was leaving my girlfriends house after I had been snowed in there for two days. I reached the bottom of a hill (probably 2.5 miles to the bottom), and there it was a 94 f-250 pulling a 28 ft cattle trailer who had lost control on a small icy bridge. The feeling I got from pulling that guy over the other side is unexplainable. I coudn't help but dig out the cd "LIKE A ROCK"
