Replace Hub Assembly On 4wd

Hey guys- I just got a new to me truck 03 Escalade EXT AWD. Pretty slick ride but she has 100k miles on her, so I have a little bit of work ahead of me.

 

The hub bearings are making some noise so I thought I would go ahead and change out the drivers side one last night...

 

(my last truck was a 2WD and was soooo easy)

 

So I get the caliper off and try to take the hub assembly off but there is that dang AWD drive axle attached to it...

 

How do I change out the hub assembly with a AWD system?

There is probably way too many steps and info for this job for anyone to respond with it all in a post here. I would recommend buying a service manual for the truck. It would contain step by step instructions for many different jobs including the front wheel bearings on your 4x4. I have bought one for nearly every vehicle I've owned and they are well worth it. Oh, and congrats on the new truck!
