Lift Blocks + Leveling Kit

Hey guys. I am looking to get either the RC 1.5 or 2" leveling kit (I found both online). Now I need to keep the rake in the truck as i carry a lot of weight in it at times and I don't want the front sticking in the air. So I thought of installing 3" Readylift blocks for the rear. Does this make sense? Thanks.

Makes sense.. i just picked up the 3" readylift blocks for $109 at a local suspension shop.

i just ordered mine yesterday, they should be in sometime next week. ill be sure to take some pics as soon as i put them on. i also ordered some 4" oval step bars so im gonna put those on at the same time. cant wait!

sorry for the bad pic, i think the snow was messing with my phones camera. 3.5" skyjacker front lift with readylift 3" rear blocks. the skyjcker kit is advertized as a 3", but has grooves for a snap ring to adjust the lift to 3.5. my tires are 285/70/17.

Thanks for the pic Jamey- truck looks great. I've ordered the RC 2" kit and I need to find somewhere local to get the Readylift 3" blocks as I'm not paying $40US to ship it up here. Ridiculous.

Ted have you tried Lordco? If you know anyone thats a mechanic they get great discounts there, I used that trick when I lived on the island. And most times they have relatively quick turn around if they need to order things in

Thanks Sam, I didn't even think about Lordco. Called today, but they are out of stock and won't have them in for 4 weeks- just under $150. Oh well.

Hey no worries man, I figured I was gonna get the 'of course i tried there' or completely forget about it as you said. I am pretty sure I paid about 150ish for mine as well locally. Luckily I didn't have to wait, ordered on a Tuesday and had them by Friday.....unluckily for me, my heated garage was full of crap all winter, and I wasn't working outside in the winter to put them in. Now that the nicer weather seems to be back, level kit and blocks are going in shortly!

i just found this. its a breakdown of the lift. The rear blocks are actually 2" blocks acording to skyjackers website. Stock blocks are 1.25. not a bad price if this works for what you want.

I picked the rear blocks up for Lowriders unlimited in Surrey for $118 before tax. Way cheaper than Lordco was willing to sell them for.

just as an added question to this thread I have the pro-comp torsion keys to put in my 03 GMC sierra 1/2 and I am thinking of lifting the back a bit as well. Since the blocks are the cheapest and probably the easiest. What other options are there I would like probably 1-1.5" lift in the back and since I pull a 3 ATV trailer with the box loaded with camping gear something a bit heavier duty. Would the 1500 HD leaf springs work and give me a lift or is an add a leaf better?
