Cold Air Intake

I didn't want to put this in the fullsize section because it doesn't have to do with GM and I didn't want to have to join another forum. Anyways, my cousin would like to get a cold air intake for his 04 F-150 Heritage 4.6L. He wants the fully enclosed type. What is the best one to get? He likes the Volant but does not want to have to oil it. Maybe there is a replacement filter that he could get for it that doesn't require oil?

you have to oil the filter every 50K miles....Its a ford, he'll be on his 3rd engine by than...LOL

But AEM makes dry flow filters of varying sizes and probably has one to fit.

tell him his best bet is a GM perf. parts one though...attached to a GM truck....

If you were a real friend, and a good cousin, you would bring him over to your local GM dealer.....

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS DRIVE FORDS :D:cool:

I did what I could to get him in a GM but it is his first vehicle which was his dads "old" truck with 40,000 miles. He just couldn't pass it up for the price.

I actually did some research and found that Volant makes two air intakes for his truck. One of them is called the PowerCore and requires no oil.
