Wiper Question

So is this a common issue with my truck ('06 GMC)...?

It seems the wiper on the passenger side does not stay on the surface of the windshield all the way down. The blade is too "stiff" to follow the contour of the glass. Maybe not a huge deal in the "clean" rain, but now in the dirty slush of Spring, it leaves a pretty large un-wiped section.

I am still using my winter blades, but I'm pretty sure I had the same issue with the summer blades.

So is this simply a wiper quality issue, or is this a common thing?

Thanks.

Dunnno, I will look in the morning and take a picture. But I know my 1995 Blazer NEVER touched on the last 4 or 5 inches on the passengers side when it was all the way down in the park position.

Probably due to the curvature of the glass. My '09 leaves the last inch or two, but what the hell, I don't sit in the passenger seat so no big deal. If you think your truck is bad, try sitting in a '73-87- bet it left a good 6".

OK its about a 3/4 of an inch on my truck... My blades are 21.5 inches. Trico teflon blades are 1/2 inch shorter.

I am not complaining I am just glad that it does not have mini-van wipers........

i.e...

|/_ _\|

You know the ones that pivot from the bottom corners of the windshield. They drive ME NUTS!!!

I like the wipers to work like |/_ |/_

That would probably put me a in a Pirus if the did something stupid like that... At least I could bump the thing in neutral and grenade the engine in that.... hahahaha jk But it would be quite fun to get some parts hanging on the outside of a Toyota Engine........., well internal parts on the outside.
