4l80e No Reverse When Hot

I have a 2002 hd2500 with a 6.0 and a 4L80E tranny all frward gears work fine as well as reverse when i first start it up and the trans temp is cool. When the trans temp gets near 200 deg i loose reverse. is this a stupid problem with an easy fix or is a rebuild in order

 

P.S. the truck has 260,000 miles and had the trans rebuilt at 208,000

Sounds like you got gypped on your rebuild.

Check for codes, particularly Input and output speed sensor codes.

Could also be your reverse solenoid, when it heats up it malfunctions.
