Steering Wheel Controls On The Fritz

About a week ago i noticed some problems when using the controls on the steering wheel. When trying to turn the volume up or down the opposite will happen, and sometimes actually change to CD or XM. then today it started to effect the cruise control. it either was really laggy or would not come on or if it did, the cancel button would not cut it off. WTF, anyone else having this same problem with their junk?

Nope, can't say that I am. This is the first that I've heard of someone having an issue.

 

Still under warranty? If so the dealer will have to fix it for you.

my 07 does that too but just on radio

I think BCM might be failing for the OP unless the buttons themselves are crap

well, if i cut the truck off and then back on they usually start working again. pisses me off, could it be the ipod Peripheral system? not sure. the buttons seem good. only 60,000 miles and im not hard on the buttons, alothough apparently i use them alot.

The cruise control began working intermittently on my 08 Silverado about a month ago at 16,000 miles. Truck is scheduled at dealer next Wed.

It's your radio harness, I had the exact same problems you guys are having with my '07, replaced said harness and it went back to normal.
