She Is Gone....

Well, good things are never meant to last and the Pavement Princess has been nothing but good to me. Bought her brand new in 2004, and she was driven away today by the new owner.

I put over 40K miles on her, and took her from stock to slightly modified and back. Hope the next vehicle treats me just as well! :happysad:

Bon Voyage! Which mods did you wind up leaving on it for the new owner? Is the new owner an enthusiast at all?

I will be rollin the TBSS until we move. Once we are settled, I will get getting something new, and something that already has a list of mods :happysad:

The sway bars, cam, Magnaflow, upgraded brakes, stereo, tranny cooler, and of course a tune was left for the owner. I was able to sell a lot of stuff off of it.

sorry to see it go.

But you only put 4000 miles on it in 6 years?

We bought a new 2004 Tahoe LT, as well. When we bought ours, she had exactly 2.0 miles on the odometer and we have loved her during every mile of service. In those six fine years, we've only put about 30,000 miles on her, but she has been absolutely flawless in every possible way.

The gutsy little truck has been one heck of a fine vehicle. We just kept up the normal mantainance, fed her a bit of gas and oil and were rewarded with worry-free motoring

Recently, we kinda got the HOTS for a new rig, but eventually ended up replacing our Tahoe's battery (with the finest we could buy) and put a full set of Michelin LTX-M/S2 (Load Range-E) tires on her.

Heck, now we are set to run the gal to 100,000 miles.

Best wishes with your new rig; may whatever you choose be as flawless as our 2004 Tahoes have been.

This Tahoe has definitely made me a believer in GM. Between all our vehicles actually, we haven't had any major issues. Like you said, good maintenance is key!

haha lifted el camino?

im not a fan of the looks of a trailblazer but i would take an tbss over a tahoe...

man i wish there was a tahoe SS

A Tahoe SS would be pretty slick, that is for sure. I know a few folks have tried making them on their own, and they look pretty slick, however, I would want something that has performance to go along with it. Until then, I will keep with the sleeper mode.

they do, or should i say did.. The 2009 6.2 was as close as we'll get. They should have changed the LTZ 6.2 into an SS and carried it into '10. Maybe I would have bought that one instead?

Good luck with your new rig Jennabear. That was a sweet Z71 'Hoe. What did you get for it? if you don't mind me asking?

16.5K was what I took for it. Went to a friend, so I wasn't trying to get a ton.

Very, very fair, my friend.

Keeping a trusted rig within the circle also gives you the opportunity of seeing your old Tahoe once in a while. And that's nice.

My old 2002 - 2500 Avalanche (Victory Red) lives within a couple blocks of our home. It's wonderful to see our old rig being well cared for and giving a nice young family great service. Like you, I got more satisfaction out of keeping the rig close than trying to eek the last penny out of the deal.
